Rod McCullagh, TQ, RRO
Registered Roof Observer
Rod joined Wells Klein Consulting in June of 2009 as a Roofing Observer/Inspector and brings over 35 years of practical roofing experience to the firm. Rod achieved his RCABC accepted roof inspector accreditation and his Professional RRO accreditation in 2010. Rod works from his home office and reports to the Wells Klein Consulting office in Delta (Ladner) BC.
Rod began his career in roofing as a labourer for Aetna Roofing and Clark Roofing in Calgary, Alberta. Rod then moved to Vancouver and after a 2 year stint with Crown Roofing Ltd., spent the next 5 years working various construction jobs in Northern British Columbia. Returning to Vancouver and Crown Roofing in 1980, Rod spent the next 11 years with Crown Roofing achieving his Journeyman Roofing Trade Certificate in 1991. Rod left Crown as a crew foreman in 1999 and went to work as a foreman for Monty Klein at Coast Hudson Ltd, a major Vancouver roofing contractor. Rods supervisor at Coast was Monty Klein, now a principal in Wells Klein Consulting Group.
Rods duties at Coast included foreman on SBS modified bitumen installation crews and equipment repair. Rod was involved in a number of challenging Wells Consulting projects in his years with Coast Hudson. In 2006, Rod left Coast Hudson and accepted a foremen position with Bollman Roofing Ltd, a well-respected and major Vancouver area roofing contractor. Rod "retired" from field application in 2009 and came to work with WKCGI. Wells Klein Consulting Group's stated objectives of service, integrity, knowledge, experience and communication are well served by the skills Rod brings to his position.
Rod has been involved with many large and challenging roofing projects over the past number of years. He has extensive experience with modified bitumen and hot roofing materials, as well as single ply and steep roofing installations..
In his career, Rod has received formal training in the procedures and application of many major roofing material suppliers. Other courses include WHMIS, fall protection, propane safety, WorkSafe BC courses, hazard and risk assessments, RCABC Inspector training, etc.
