Beni Bennett, RHI, NHI, RRO
Associate, Roof Observer, Consultant
Beni Bennett joined Wells Klein Consulting Group as an Associate in August of 2008. Beni is a Registered Home Inspector and Registered Roof Observer and brings twenty years of construction and field review experience to the Wells Consulting portfolio. Mr. Bennett is located in Cloverdale, BC.
Beni is involved in both roofing observation and consulting services provided to clients of Wells Consulting in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island area. He is an accepted independent roofing inspector accredited by RCABC. Beni earned his Registered Roof Observer (RRO) status in December of 2008, and is accredited by RCI, Inc., (the Roofing Consultants Institute of Raleigh, NC. In addition, Beni is a qualified Registered Home Inspector (RHI) certified by CAHI(BC) and the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors (National)(NHI)
Prior to joining Wells Consulting, Beni owned and operated (and still does part time) Northwood Building Consulting Ltd (dba Northwood Home Inspections). Northwood continues to operate successfully under provincial license by the BPCPA specializing in pre purchase residential building condition surveys and reports.
Mr. Bennett is a native of the Lower Mainland of BC. Beni graduated from North Delta Senior Secondary and subsequently Kwantlen College. After college, Beni began his construction oriented career employed in the carpentry and framing sector with Ben-Wall Industries ltd., then continued with Vancity Construction Ltd. Beni achieved a Certificate in Business Management from BCIT in 2000. Beni achieved his Home Inspector certification after attending the BCIT Home and Property Inspection Program in 1997 and the Carson Dunlop Commercial Inspection Program in 1998. Beni held Directors positions with Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (BC) in 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004, the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors National Board in 2001, and the Western Association of Property Inspectors Board of Directors from 1998 to 2000.
Trade courses and seminars completed include: the BC Building Code, foundations and foundations failures, framing and framing performance failures, roofing, roofing inspections, maintenance and roofing failures, building envelope and envelope performance failures on the BC west coast, windows and doors design installation and failures, heating ventilation and air condition (HVAC) systems and HVAC design and system failures, heating recovery ventilators (HRV) and HRV performance failures, IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) Housing Durability Essentials, Troubleshooting IAQ and Mold Assessment and Clean-Up, plumbing systems, septic systems and septic systems performance failures, well water systems and well performance failures, electric systems and unsafe electrical practices, BC Electrical Code, retaining wall and retaining wall failures, ethics, report writing and business practices, Worksafe BC, the BC Safety Authority. Beni has long held a professional interest in roofing technology and has taken many courses and seminars over the last 10 years. Roofing specific courses include:
